1. Canada Federal Skilled Worker (Professional) immigration
applications are assessed on six factors.
These selection factors are designed to indicate which applicants
are likely to become economically established upon immigration to
Canada.
Each Canada Federal Skilled Worker (Professional) immigration
selection factor is allotted a maximum number of points, and
applicants must attain at least 67 points in order to qualify for a
Canada Immigration (Permanent Resident) Visa.
The selection factors may be summarized as follows:
• Education: Applicants are awarded up to 25 points.
• Language Skills: Applicants are awarded up to 24 points.
• Experience: Applicants are awarded up to 21 points.
• Age: Applicants are awarded up to 10 points.
• Arranged Employment: Applicants are awarded up to 10 points.
• Adaptability: Applicants are awarded up to 10 points.
In addition to scoring at least 67 points, successful applicants
must show that they have enough money (10,601 if you are single,
13,198 for two family members) to support themselves and their
dependants after arrival in Canada. Applicants and their dependants
must also undergo medical examinations and security clearances as
part of the Canadian immigration application process.
That means if you have good work experience in India and score at
least 67 points, you can apply as a skilled worker.

Temporary foreign workers and international students are ideal
candidates for Canadian immigration (Permanent Residency). Having
obtained a Canadian education and/or Canadian work experience,
these individuals have already settled into Canadian society and
have established important networks in their communities and their
careers.
International Graduates with Canadian Work Experience
Applicants must have:
• Successfully completed a program of study of at least two
academic years at a Canadian post-secondary educational
institution;
• Obtained at least one year of skilled, professional or technical
work experience within 24 months of the application date; and
• Moderate or basic language skills, depending on the skill level
of their occupation.
Temporary Foreign Workers
Applicants must have:
• Obtained at least two years of skilled, professional or technical
work experience within 36 months of the application date; and
• Moderate or basic language skills, depending on the skill level
of their occupation.
An applicant who has met the minimum requirements and is still in
Canada on either a Post-Graduate Work Permit or a Temporary Work
Permit may apply from within Canada. For individuals no longer in
Canada, applications must be submitted within one year of leaving
their job in Canada.
